Common Questions

Clear, honest answers to the questions women ask most.

  • Viva Balm is gentle enough for daily use — just a small amount (about 5ml) in your shower. If you’re dealing with extra irritation, feel free to use it morning and night until you feel comfortable again.

  • Yes — but with a heads-up: oil-based products like Viva can weaken latex, so they’re not recommended with latex condoms. For intimacy without latex, it can feel smooth and natural.  The balm does not erode or dissolve medical-grade silicone.

  • Absolutely! Many women find it comforting during their cycle — and a little on a tampon can make things feel smoother and more comfortable.

  • Viva Balm is 100% natural and hormone-free, so many women use it safely during pregnancy or menopause. If you have specific health concerns, it’s always best to check in with your healthcare provider.

  • Yes. To keep it fresh and effective, it’s best used within 12–14 weeks after opening — and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  • Because it’s oil based, it can leave marks on fabric. We recommend applying it in the shower or letting it absorb fully before dressing. A panty liner can help while you get used to how much you need.

  • Yes — we never test on animals. Viva Balm is made with pure, cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, hormone-free and thoughtfully crafted for real women in real life.
